Mombasa, Kenya’s second-largest city and East Africa’s major port, bursts of immense cultural and economic significance. Due to its strategic location on the proximity to the vast Indian Ocean, Mombasa also plays a central tourism role in Kenya. Some of the landmarks that stand out in the town include the “tusks” that were first erected in 1952 in the honor of Queen Elizabeth’s visit to Kenya, Fort Jesus which was constructed by the Portuguese in 1593, Swaminarayan temple, and the old Kilindini harbor.
This tour provides a blend of historical, cultural, and fun aspects of this warm side of Africa. We shall be at the carefully selected “must-visit” sides of Mombasa.
